It’s founders, Fergus Cawley and Niall Flaherty, together have over 50 years of experience in the design and installation of industrial, pharmaceutical, food & beverage and power generation projects.

Fergus Cawley Director

Fergus Cawley

Director
Fergus Cawley is a company Director who holds an electrical engineering degree with over 30 years’ experience in data centres, power generation, pharmaceutical, medical devices, and the Irish energy sector. He has been involved in the sustainable energy sector as CHP designer and project manager.
Niall Flaherty Director

Niall Flaherty

Director
Niall Flaherty is a company Director and a qualified mechanical engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the data centre, pharmaceutical and food and beverage sectors across Ireland. He has acted as MEP design manager on large scale projects on both greenfield and brownfield sites.
Amy Jacob Project Manager

Amy Jacob

Project Manager
Amy Jacob is Projects Manager and holds a masters’ degree in mechanical engineering with experience in the semiconductor and food and beverage industries. Experienced in commissioning support and start-up activities, liaising with process vendors, contractors, and client. Amy also has a CDCP accreditation.

Michael Heslin

Senior Electrical Engineer

Michael Heslin is a senior electrical engineer with 8 years’ experience in design and project implementation in industrial, mission critical and pharmaceutical environments. Michael holds a master’s degree in Energy Systems engineering (NUIG) as well as a Bachelor of electrical engineering from UCD. Michael has recently taken on the role of Building Management Systems lead within Ampromech.

Ilia Basov

Senior Electrical Engineer / BIM Manager

Ilia Basov is a Senior Electrical Engineer and BIM Lead at Ampromech, holding a Master’s degree in Radio Electronic Systems. He specialises in power distribution, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), short circuit analysis and coordination studies, fire alarm, lighting, security and control systems. As BIM Lead, he is responsible for driving BIM coordination across projects and implementing BIM execution plans.

Nicola Reynolds

Projects & System Coordinator

Nicola Reynolds is a projects and system coordinator who has worked within several design consultancies in Ireland and further afield. Nicola has considerable experience in document control, project coordination and tracking as well as graphic design and marketing.

Emma McGillycuddy Lead Process Engineer

Emma McGillycuddy

Lead Process Engineer
Emma McGillycuddy is a chartered engineer with over 20 years’ experience in pharmaceutical plant process & utility system design & validation. She has specific design and site experience of modern industrial and pharmaceutical plants and is proficient in Risk Assessment, ATEX Hazardous Area Classification, Explosion Protection Document (EPD) development.

Kieran Goode is a chartered mechanical engineer with more than 40 years’ experience in large scale industrial installations including food & beverage, pharma and dairy projects. Kieran specialises in utility and energy optimisation systems and technologies. He has vast experience in HVAC, dehumidification, refrigeration, LPHW, steam, cooling water and compressed air systems.
Colm O’Faogain Design Support - Piping Engineer

Colm O’Faogain

Design Support / Piping Engineer

Colm O’Faogain is a senior process and mechanical piping designer who has worked with design consultancies in both office and site-based roles. He is proficient in 3D piping and modelling and BIM/Revit. Colm has worked in Ireland, Spain, Hungary, Slovenia, Egypt, and Germany. Colm has a BA (Hons) with Spanish and German and a Diploma in Business Management.
Ryan Batty Mechanical Project Engineer

Ryan Batty

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Ryan Batty is a degree-qualified mechanical engineer from the University of Pretoria, with experience in HVAC, wet services, fire control and energy management. Ryan is experienced in detailed design, cost control and project management.

Shane Hawe

Mechanical Engineer

Shane Hawe is the newest addition to the Ampromech team. He is a recent graduate of TUD with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. Shane is skilled in several design software packages ranging from SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, REVIT and Autodesk Inventor. His interests include Astronomy, vehicle maintenance and 3D modelling and printing.

Margaret Connolly

Design Manager

Margaret Connolly is a Design Manager with more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Holding a BSc in Architecture, she has worked both in Tier 1 Construction and Consultancy environments. Her skills involve stakeholder management and implementing project controls, with expertise in project coordination.

Shane Herlihy

Electrical Engineer

Shane Herlihy is an Electrical Services Engineering graduate of Technological University Dublin, with experience in electrical building services design, BCAR and CQM. Having worked on data centre, residential, commercial and industrial projects, Shane has developed strong technical skills in Revit, AutoCAD, DIALux and Relux.

Ewan O’Reilly

Electrical Engineer

Ewan O’Reilly is a recent addition to the Ampromech team. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and is a recent graduate of TUD in Sustainable Electrical Energy Systems. He has experience in electrical design and delivering projects that focus on sustainable energy. He is currently involved in several large-scale projects at Ampromech.

Eoin Kiernan

Mechanical Engineer

Eoin Kiernan is a Building Services Engineering graduate with a BEng Tech and BEng in Building Engineering. Through his academic studies, Eoin has developed knowledge across building performance analysis, HVAC, electrical services design, energy and sustainability, as well as public health, fire engineering and acoustics. He is keen to further develop his technical expertise while supporting the design and delivery of projects across the industrial, data centre, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and power generation sectors.
